Usually I have coffee, oatmeal with a bit of whey protein and a spoon on PB. Then I try to force some water down and a multivitamin and a glucosamine & chondroitin. Then I have to wait an hour to go work out 'cuz I feel like I have a rock in my gut.
Breakfast today was a Hammer Bar.

I felt fueled to work out without the rock in my gut after eating it. I could of had an extra cup of coffee but decided to just get out the door instead. I took a Banana Hammer Gel just to give it a try and as an excuse to work out a little longer.
I really liked the Bar. It was soft, chewy, easier to put down then a protein shake or egg and toast before working out.
I had 4 miles on the treadmill at Ghetto Renew. 13:30, 13:10, 12:35, 12:59. I have been using the Runners World free Smart Coach plan and my goal for Sunday (and tomorrow also) is 4mi @ 13:40. It was hot inside the building (as always) and I was dripping sweat before the end of the 1st mile. I think I would have been cooler running outside along the Greenbelt.
I went to the bathroom afterward to wash my hands, splash water on my face and suck down the gel.
I guess Body Renew doesn't have the dispenser keys for anything.
I swallowed the banana gel in 2 swallows. The taste was shocking because it was warm after in my pocket for an hour while I was on the treadmill. I have never had a gel before. But it was like eating a warm squishy banana. It tasted better then expected but real bananas are not the 1st fruit I would pick in the grocery store anyways. I could have finished my workout without it because I only did 20 min heavy weight training on my arms. I think it's been over 2 weeks since I have lifted and I felt weak today. Plus somehow I hurt my shoulder swimming laps 2 Sundays ago and it was bothering me a little doing some moves.
Now it is time for my 2XU recovery socks then get ready for my day at work. Ugh.
