Dreadmill Day

I have not been cross training in the last few weeks. I thought today, I better make some time to get to Ghetto Renew and get something done. I really wanted to run, but with yesterday as a long run day and with speedwork scheduled Thursday, that I am going to do tomorrow. Today was a good day to add something other then running.

The last few years I usually ride my bike most of the year. Last year I drove my car less then 8000 miles. This year, I have found all sorts of excuses to not ride to work and back. (Last time I rode my bike, I had to change a tube because, I think, a co-worker thought it would be funny to mess with my ride) It is silly to drive, when it is only 3 miles away. And my bike is in need of a tune up. But I did some minor maintenance which was air up the tires and adjust the brakes. (My last bike ride was 30 miles and my back brake was rubbing my wheel the whole way!) So, this is going to be part of my cross training this week. I am not going to drive to work the rest of this week. 6 miles a day for 4 days this week, which will be good for me. The only thing that I hate is going up that dang Protest hill off of Federal Way, at the end of the night. I protest, and cuss that dang hill every time I go up it.

At Ghetto Renew, I just walked on the Dreadmill 3 miles. Positive incline up to +20 and negative incline of -3. That +20 is sure a workout. My calves and hammys were burning. They are going to get lots of stretching tonight.

What do you like to do on non-run days? Bike? Yoga? I would like to add yoga, but there are never any classes that fit my strange work hours. Hint, hint, hint, Boise yoga studios. Something around noon-2pm would be so nice for me.

Happy Birthday To Me

Happy Birthday to me.

You know how I celebrated the start of my birthday on midnight at work? (I actually am not taking my birthday off. Why can't all birthdays be on a weekend day?)

Burpees, pushups, squats, crunches. One for every year. So, I did 22 of each.

Ok, 24. ;-)

Sunday, for the BFs birthday, we had a shot of Wild Turkey. And our birthday shot (which I found out Vista Bar doesn't do free birthday shots - shame on them! Looks like Neurolux is my preferred birthday celebration location because I know they give free birthday shots) made me want to really enjoy another, but I refrained.

Actually, I think this weekend, I will be taking in a cocktail or 4 at the Modern.

I also made sure to sign up for lots of restaurants deals for birthday goodies this year because I like being a cheapskate. I like it when places give you a week (or all month) to use the goodies and not just on your birthday day. I don't want to go for a free b-day meal alone on my birthday at lunch, wh…

Kiss Me Organics Organic Dandelion Root Tea - With Hibiscus & Cinnamon Review

This post is sponsored by Kiss Me Organics and no other compensation was given.

I love Dandelion. They are not really a weed, but they have so many health benefits. The BF started eating them a few years ago. And he picked the first one this last week for me to eat. He has even gotten some of his guy friends to start picking them and eating them regularly. Serious! I am thankful for this tea because I don't have to eat them out of the yard, unless I want to. They are full of nothing but health. This tea tastes way better then a flower out in the yard!
