The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World Review

This post is sponsored by The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World book by Allison Sher.

I was given a digital copy of this book. I thought that it would be good to read, even though I am a Gen X'er. There is just so much talk about the Millennial's right now that I thought that it would be good to get to know what is going on inside their head.

About the Book  The Millennial's Guide to Changing the World teaches young people everything they need to know to change the world, while building a happy, healthy adult life for themselves. It explains how our current social systems work, the challenges young people are inheriting and how millennials can step into our power to create a critical mass conversion to solve them. Everything from politics to spirituality to love relationships to education to sex to economics to mental health is covered. And it includes 50 or so juicy, true life stories from millennials across the country…

Fueled By The Devil

You know how you can get me to run fast?

Put one (or 2) of these good sized bastards in my path. Snakes are coming out on the greenbelt. This was a little guy. I had about a 2foot long snake that made me jump and scream going out towards Harris Ranch on the greenbelt. Not pleasant. Creepy little devil creatures.

I fueled my 10 mile run (average pace 13:11) with this.

They didn't upset my stomach. Tasted better then sucking down a sticky gel, but I felt like I needed to drink more water with them.

The wind was really, really bad yesterday on my slog back to my car. Like, so bad where you can't breathe. I had to walk pretty much the 5 miles into the wind.

The BF rode his bike to Lucky Peak and met me back out at my car. He did say that yesterday was like the worst bike ride ever.

We drove up to Tablerock to watch the sunset. We are going to walk up there a little later today. And drove up Rocky Canyon because the BF had no idea that that road exists. And now he thinks that Robie Creek has to be the worst race ever. lol

We recovered from our traumatic workouts with this.
And a BBQ'ed steak.

What was your workout this weekend? Do you like snakes?

  1. Sounds like you had a great balance of running and food (and drinks!) :) Except for the snake - they would make me run fast too!

  2. Snakes creep me out!!!! Mini oreos sounds like a yummy run treat to me. I don't know if I could ever pull it off because it sounded like you needed more water with them. Right now I am obsessed with Peanut Butter Gu. So yummy!

  3. Oh my gosh!!! I would DIE if I ran past that! I have cycled past a dead snake...definitely not the same!

  4. I am SO glad I am not alone with my dislikes of snakes. And I am glad there was no one real close to see me scream when that 2nd one decided to slither in front of me. :-)
