The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World Review

This post is sponsored by The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World book by Allison Sher.

I was given a digital copy of this book. I thought that it would be good to read, even though I am a Gen X'er. There is just so much talk about the Millennial's right now that I thought that it would be good to get to know what is going on inside their head.

About the Book  The Millennial's Guide to Changing the World teaches young people everything they need to know to change the world, while building a happy, healthy adult life for themselves. It explains how our current social systems work, the challenges young people are inheriting and how millennials can step into our power to create a critical mass conversion to solve them. Everything from politics to spirituality to love relationships to education to sex to economics to mental health is covered. And it includes 50 or so juicy, true life stories from millennials across the country…

We Are Not Going To Starve

Today I made a trip to Natural Grocers & Cost Plus to buy goodies for the car ride.

Cost Plus always has cute little snacky things that are the perfect size if you want to sneak them into the movie theater have them go along for a bike ride & picnic. And I had a 10% off coupon for the store that I wanted to use.

I found these little snacky kits that are perfect! GoPicnic! I seriously think these were cute and potentially perfect to a take along with a mini bottle of wine on one of our 30 mile bike rides we do.

Turkey Stick & Crunch has turkey stick, bbq Pop Chips, tropical fruit bites, fruit & nut mix & a cookie. Hummus & Crackers has hummus, multiseed crackers, fruit & nut mix, edamame, & dark chocolate. It's also gluten free.

Having a little kit like this will make my shopping easier. No wandering around the store hoping the BF doesn't kill me because I get too many of those mini sausages & salamis that Cost Plus has in the bins in the back.

Oh, and this little fat bastard isn't gonna starve either. He was the fattest squirrel I have seen in the backyard. I think he wanted the cat food outside the door but I was standing there. He keeps digging in my pots for peanuts that he buried the last few years. There was a neighbor leaving out peanuts for at least the last 2 years and he buried so many of them in the backyard.

I left some Daves Killer Good Seed Bread out for him but he didn't eat it. I know he likes almonds and walnuts. The BF made a suet type thing with bacon grease & nuts. That thing was outside one day and gone the next.

Oh and Stanley weather has a 90% chance of rain on Saturday. Looks like no dodging the rain at all. Good thing I will already be wet when I jump into Redfish Lake!
And I found this cute video from last year's run that doesn't make the race seem so bad...

Off to get ready for work. My boss got fired yesterday, which was a shock & weird because we have a do-do job, but the shake up sure makes the work environment uncomfortable.

  1. Great video- I hope that the rain will hold off so you don't get drenched. Sucks about your boss too, hopefully your work environment gets some stability now.

  2. Sounds like a good set of snacks! Sorry to hear about work - I imagine it would be tough in the aftermath of that.
