Teton Dam Marathon Review

On the 2nd of June, I woke up at 4am to make a 3 hour drive to eastern Idaho for the Teton Dam Marathon. I did the 5K.

Did I mention I woke up at 4am to make a 3 hour drive. Yeah, not the best idea for legs to be in PR shape. My leggies were stiff and at 1100 more feet of elevation then at home, it was a slow trot for sure. No PR attempt this trot, that's for sure.

I woke up at 4am (my normal wake up time is 8am - 10am depending on the day) so that early is  painful. I had everything all packed and ready the evening before- brekky, post-race clothes, snacks, and a full tank of gas for the long drive. All I had to do was make coffee and head out. I didn't even brush my teeth before I left. Coffee first.

The drive was nice and not a lot of traffic for a Saturday morning. I don't know the last time I have been to Rexburg, but it was easy to find the race start. I thought the race started at 8am, but that was the 10K. The 5K started at 8:30am and I got there to get my bib at …

Vitacost Review & Giveaway

I was given the opportunity to review some of the products from VitaCost.

Description: Vitacost-logo

They have so many awesome things on their site. Its a total one stop healthy shopping experience.

My goodies! That round, green, Delta Labs thing is a mirror/brush compact on one side. It also has a caddy on the other side to put your supplements in!

Nommed this after my 10 miler. It was like a Rice Crispy treat. But lighter. So cinnamon-y. So good. I would actually buy more of these!

I snacked on this in the movie theater on Sunday night. (We watched This Is 40) It was soft and chewy, but a slight crunch with the almonds and cashews. Very fruity. I liked!

I nommed the Kind bar after my trot on Sunday. I have only had Kind bars that included chocolate before. I liked that even though this was fruity, I gobbled it down!

I didn't have to think twice on the Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew bar. Devoured!

I even tried the Eco Nuts.

As green as I may think that I am, I have never, ever tried an eco-friendly laundry detergent before. We just use the mega-cheap stuff from Costco, which isn't my fave, but its cheap. I washed my sheets and my scuzzy workout clothes and some old beach towels in a load with the Eco Nuts. Wow! My stuff seems softer, and it seems clean. It removed my stank from the workout clothes - and my clothes get hella stanky after my workouts. I don't know how this works, but it did!

I still have a few more things to nom my way through, Promax Pro, Premier Nutrition Titan, Real Salt, but I do like what I have tried. I like that Vitacost has SO many things on their site.

You can connect with Vitacost via Website, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and Facebook.

Vitacost has a daily giveaway on their Facebook page.

Have you shopped at Vitacost? What is your favorite product from there?

**Vitacost provided the products stated above at no cost to me. The opinions stated are my own.

  1. I have never shopped there, but i like to buy stuff i eat frequently in bulk - its always a better deal!

    1. Bulk is always a good deal! I always need snackie things in bulk.

  2. Love those Kind bars! I don't live near a health food store, but thankfully the local place has a few things and the Kind bars are one of them!
