The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World Review

This post is sponsored by The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World book by Allison Sher.

I was given a digital copy of this book. I thought that it would be good to read, even though I am a Gen X'er. There is just so much talk about the Millennial's right now that I thought that it would be good to get to know what is going on inside their head.

About the Book  The Millennial's Guide to Changing the World teaches young people everything they need to know to change the world, while building a happy, healthy adult life for themselves. It explains how our current social systems work, the challenges young people are inheriting and how millennials can step into our power to create a critical mass conversion to solve them. Everything from politics to spirituality to love relationships to education to sex to economics to mental health is covered. And it includes 50 or so juicy, true life stories from millennials across the country…

Add Some Sparkle to the Holidays!

Add Some Sparkle to the Holidays!

This time of year, nothing could be more merry and bright than a glassful or two of bubbly. With three different Sparkling wines to choose from, including the Petit Cadeau Semi-Seco Sparkling, Grand Cadeau Rosé Sparkling and the Grand Cadeau Sparkling, there has never been a better time to celebrate! The epitome of fun – Sparkling wine’s sweeter taste and bevy of bubbles will add a dash of exuberance to all your parties & holiday gatherings. Sparkling wines tickle the tongue and pair beautifully with an assortment of holiday nibbles of both the sweet and savory variety. Here are a few tips to serve up Sparkling during the holiday. Grab a couple sets of Sparkler Stems and try these ideas this season!

First, pop the cork –

Whether or not it’s your first time hosting a holiday party – opening a bottle of Sparkling in front of a large group of people can be downright nerve-wracking. Here are the 6 simple steps to popping the cork with ease.

  • Chill in the fridge until ice-cold, or keep in an ice bucket.
  • Remove the foil over the cork and twist the metal cage loose.
  • Grab the thickest part of the bottle with your dominant hand. Grip the cork with a kitchen towel or cloth napkin.
  • Place the base of the bottle against your hip. Slowly turn the bottle back and forth with your right hand while holding the cork firmly steady with your left.
  • Keep the cork facing away from you. Slow down when the cork is almost out so the cork gently slides out rather than popping aggressively.
  • Pour a glass!

Then, add a bit of holiday flair –

The season calls for an extra dash of panache, which is easily accomplished with just a few touches. Raspberries, strawberries, cranberry juice, pomegranate seeds, sprigs of rosemary, mint or thyme all add that special touch and can be found easily at any grocery store. And if you want to count these as servings of fruit and veg, we don’t mind! (In fact, we encourage it.)

Finally, craft a cocktail to remember –

Everyone needs a standout Sparkling cocktail recipe in their back pocket during the holidays. Something that’s simple to do, with minimal prep & lots of fun! This is the perfect libation to cap the night’s events, serve with desserts, or ring in the New Year.

1 bottle of Petit Cadeau Semi-Seco or Grand Cadeau Sparkling
White Creme de Cocoa
Candy canes

In a plastic zip lock bag, smash 1 candy cane with a rolling-pin until semi-fine powder. Dip the rims of your Sparkler Stems in a small dish of White Creme de Cocoa and then in the crushed candy cane. Fill glasses 1/3 full with White Creme de Cocoa and then the rest of the way with chilled Sparkling wine. Garnish each glass with a whole candy cane & enjoy!
