The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World Review

This post is sponsored by The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World book by Allison Sher.

I was given a digital copy of this book. I thought that it would be good to read, even though I am a Gen X'er. There is just so much talk about the Millennial's right now that I thought that it would be good to get to know what is going on inside their head.

About the Book  The Millennial's Guide to Changing the World teaches young people everything they need to know to change the world, while building a happy, healthy adult life for themselves. It explains how our current social systems work, the challenges young people are inheriting and how millennials can step into our power to create a critical mass conversion to solve them. Everything from politics to spirituality to love relationships to education to sex to economics to mental health is covered. And it includes 50 or so juicy, true life stories from millennials across the country…

I Can Haz Birthday Cheezburger?

So, what have I been up to this month?

Well, not running or working out.

My birthday was at the start of the month and turns into a gluttonfest.

You know all those birthday freebies that you get at restaurants and stores? Well, 2014 the other half wanted to take advantage of all the free food things on his birthday. So that is what we did in 2014, 2015, and yes 2016. He got sick from either IHOP or Denny's so his birthday was kind of a bummer this year. This year, I tried to spread out all my birthday foodings so not to feel too piggish or gross. We have been trying to lean to the healthy side of things so this was fun.

I really tried to remember to get pics of everything but there were some that I forgot like my free birthday drink at Starbucks, my BOGO meal at Golden Corral and my free $10 at Sports Authority. I got some Adidas capris for basically $0.50 thanks to that.

Did you know Jamba Juice does free birthday drinks? Yea, I didn't either. This was new to me this year.

Old Chicago is one of my faves and I look forward to this pizza. I left the pizza pic on my phone from last year because it was so enjoyable. But I was also dieting so there was that.

Followed by a small Cinnabon. Yum!

Yep, and Krispy Kreme. We scarfed down the doughnut and didn't get a pic so here is the wrapper and a iced mocha.

Ribs from Texas Roadhouse. I accidentally left these in my friends fridge and he got to eat them along with some of the rolls. He didn't even say thank you. :-(

My 2nd birthday pizza. This one is the Margarita flatbread pizza from Flatbread in Meridian. It was OK.

Free birthday burger and fries at Red Robin. The other half & I are always excited to take advantage of this birthday promo.

Chicken Parm at Smoky Mountain. This is what did in the other half in out 2014 birthday fooding adventure. But I think in 2014 was all these restaurants in one day. Smoky Mountain was the last and even though we split everything, it was too too much in one day.  I was very glad to nosh on all of these over a week or so. And the other half and I split all the meals excluding Jamba, Starbucks, and Smokey Mountain.

But that was my birthday month. Nothing too exciting and I really have not had any desire to work out. I mean, I do but since I've been fooding and wineing, well, I would rather do that then go run.

Anyways, where do you like to go for your birthday? Any advice for getting my butt outside to go run?
