The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World Review

This post is sponsored by The Millennial's Guide To Changing The World book by Allison Sher.

I was given a digital copy of this book. I thought that it would be good to read, even though I am a Gen X'er. There is just so much talk about the Millennial's right now that I thought that it would be good to get to know what is going on inside their head.

About the Book  The Millennial's Guide to Changing the World teaches young people everything they need to know to change the world, while building a happy, healthy adult life for themselves. It explains how our current social systems work, the challenges young people are inheriting and how millennials can step into our power to create a critical mass conversion to solve them. Everything from politics to spirituality to love relationships to education to sex to economics to mental health is covered. And it includes 50 or so juicy, true life stories from millennials across the country…

All Vaycay Pics - Lotsa Pics from Vegas

I really enjoyed my vaycay. I have wanted to take a cruise for the longest time and finally had a couple of drinkiepoos and made the reservations earlier this year. I am so happy that I did it, and I am looking froward to booking my next cruise.

I booked a 4 day cruise because I was not sure if I would like being on a boat and I was worried about seasickness. I did like being on the boat and there was no seasickness at all. There were a couple of times my footing was a little unsteady during the boats movement but it subsided and was NBD.

It was a Carnival cruise from Long Beach to Catalina to Ensenada Mexico. I also wanted to stock up on some meds like Viagra and antibiotics. And tequilla.

We drove to Las Vegas as the start of our journey and spent a couple of days there.

In LV, we did LOTS of walking. We don't like to pay for transportation so the first day we walked over 11 miles looking for a restaurant that I got a coupon for at Apple maps being the a-holes that they are were directing me to go onto the freeway for my route. grumble. That is not gonna work, so we choose the Heart Attack Grill on the way back. We did end up going to said sushi place and it was very good. The price was reasonable, it was fast, friendly service, authentic sushi, and they honored the coupon AND a Yelp checkin coupon for a free scoop of green tea ice cream. Totes recommend.

Pics from the day

The Happy Hour menu at Triple George Grill was nice. Shoulda had more.

Sizing up the place before going in.
I'm sure someone found luck in Vegas - just not us
 2 doubles, nothing else
The fear of the first bite of a potential heart attack.
Considering getting spanked for not finishing
I powered through the salt and the lard and finished my double burger.
On our 2nd day, I REALLY wanted to go to Madame Tussad's to see the James Bond collection, specifically Daniel Craig but the pulled the display early.

Sept. 22nd was a posted lie
When your computer and cell phone backgrounds is this....

"Love is the Devil"
... you ask the manager where is Daniel Craig? "Oh, we pulled them early so they could get freshened up to go to Germany." :-( I pull out my phone to show him my Craigy love, which has the pic above and he goes, "You really are a Daniel Craig fan." and refunds me my 2 tickets.  I was heartbroken because you just don't know how much I am infatuated with my Craigypoo. I was really sad to the point of tears. I shoulda asked to be taken in the back to see him but I'm sure they were all ready in crates to be shipped off. We did have fun seeing the rest of the other wax figures available.

Someone is a little monster & was happy to meet Mother Monster

Me, on the other hand...

Minus no Craigypoo, it was a nice exhibit with some pretty cool celebs. At the end, they had a Marvel Super Heroes 4D cinema experience. It was very cool. You watch a short movie with 3D glasses and you get your seat poking you, vibrating, squirts of water and air, some smells in the air and bubbles being blown. It was much more entertaining then I thought it would have been.

After that we did get to eat at LobsterMe. I wanted a lobster roll and a lobster on a stick but it would have been kinda spendy, so we just had lobster rolls. #nom

And did you know that the fruit DATES come from the Date PALM TREE. Yep. Date palms are everywhere in Vegas. We were out on the side of the road picking these little tasty bits up. All the homeless were stupid and not eating these things but the birds were. We picked 12 pounds from the ground after we pulled the seeds out of them. The other half knew what they were when we walked passed and is good about foraging in the wild. He lived in Hawaii for a short while and knows how people feel about native things like pineapples and avocados, he thought it was concerning that they are a nuisance because the evening before when we walked by, the city had a crew out trimming the pods off so they didn't fall and damage a vehicle or hurt a person.

These tasted amazing FRESH and not dried as in the stores
We ended the day off at the Stratosphere buffet and walking around some of the casinos like a tourist.

Someone wanted a pic with Pikachu but we didn't want to tip
Next post will be about Long Beach, the Cruise and Mexico!
