Finally - Friday!

Oh, Friday! I have waited for you for a few days to finally arrive.

Thank goodness, you are finally here!

And it is a Boise State game day. 


Although I feel like crap (the smoke in the air this week has me hacking constantly - and I am not a persona with health issues where I would be considered "sensitive." It is like it is only me that is complaining and being affected by the air quality!)

Anyways, the slacker in me didn't get a run in. I did get some bubbly and some Wine By Joe. Fred Meyers FINALLY is carrying the brand in Boise. It isn't the Joe's Secco I found at Whole Foods when I went to Seattle, for the marathon in November, but I am hoping this is good either way.

And I got my Chobani on my doorstep thanks to a giveaway from Sips and Steps. Thanks! I love my Cho! And I got the mixed pack of all the flavors, so I FINALLY get to try lemon, mango, and strawberry banana - which I have never seen in my stores.

And if Chobani comes to my house in boxes, …

College Slacking

I didn't feel like running this week at all. Fighting with the BF this week - his ex-wife doesn't have food in her house for their kids (they have to eat at their friends house or his & they didn't have school clothes or supplies for the start of school on Monday!!!) & she wanted him to buy her groceries on Sunday, I blew up. She quit a full time job with benefits for a part time job & no benefits. Now, she can't afford food and clothes for her kids. I was pissed. I think welfare needs to be called on her for child neglect! I know, not my kids, so I shouldn't get involved but I don't think you should be buying food for your ex-spouse.

Anyways... I feel this weekends run is going to be a disaster.

And my college class (Addiction Studies) started today and I didn't want to read 2 chapters in my book this afternoon and do homework, so I went up to Tablerock. After reading my syllabus this week, I have to go to AA at least once during the semester…

I'll Sleep When I'm Dead. Or At Work.

Going to bed with a full stomach (something I rarely do!) and a head full of stress, does not make for the most restful sleep.

I was tossing and turning for the whole 5 hours of sleep I got. I remember looking at the clock at 5:something. I had a bad dream, it dealt with all my co-workers, which seems like it lasted 3 hours. I couldn't go back to sleep after waking up with my heart pounding. I have been awake since 8am. I have to stay awake until 2am.

I know I am going to be taking a nap at work tonight during my break. I know it.

The good news is that I got 6 slow miles done! The weather was such a nice change with it being 70 degrees, I would be hating myself if I just laid around in bed feeling like sleepy crap.

I was really focused on my form during this run. I felt like I did the first 4 miles with landing on my forefoot. I was in the zone where I was feeling good, that groggy-head feeling was gone, and just wanted to keep running.
