Boise See Jane Run 5K & Half Marathon Race Entry Giveway

Thanks to See Jane Run for sponsoring this giveaway post!

Boise area peeps - guess what is coming up soon?

See Jane Run 5K and Half Marathon! Yay!

And guess what? Since being selected as a See Jane Run Ambassador, I get to giveaway a race entry to the Boise race for you and a friend!

I did the half marathon last year, and I will be doing the half this year. And I am really excited. Although I have been slacking on my training the last couple weeks. This week, I am hopping back on the training train.

Here are some deets about the Boise race.

Reebok SPARTAN RACE - Race Entry Giveaway

The peeps at the Reebok SPARTAN RACE contacted me recently with info about their race series. They don't have a Boise area race, but there are some 6+ driving hours away that I may consider participating in in the near future. But until then, SPARTAN RACE is giving me a free entry to giveaway to one of you!

From the Spartan Race site -
Spartan Race is on a mission to get you active, healthy, excited about change, and return to our ancient roots where running through woods, getting dirty, and facing adversity was part of everyday life. Our events are all about challenging today’s perception of normal.

Our events challenge the familiar, today’s perception of normal living and getting you out of your comfort zone! At Spartan Race, we do this everyday and it shapes everything we do.

Having experienced many different racing events, we wanted to make adventure racing more accessible to everyone, but do not be fooled by the word ‘accessible’, as our events have a challenge for ever…

YMCA Famous Idaho Potato Half Marathon

Guess who is the owner of a new, shiny 13 minute half marathon PR?

This girl!

I didn't expect a PR, since I have been slow feeling for a while now. But the running gods smiled and my leggies felt well enough to have pushed myself.

The night before wasn't how I usually plan things. No pre-race pizza dinner for me. I had Taco Bell. And what's funny is that my cast iron gut really didn't have a problem with that. With a 5am wake-up for me, the BF decided to sleep on the couch so he wouldn't disturb me. And I slept awfully well - I may need to make him do this more often. ;-)

Brekky was one cup of coffee, water, and a Chocolate Haze Pocket Fuel. Normally, this is where I whine about not having any desire for eating or drinking anything, but that wasn't an issue on this morning.

The BF got me to the race start 10 minutes before 7am. Thankfully I didn't need to use the porta potties since the lines were SO long. A few minutes slog in perfect weather, I was read…

What's Been Going On?

Hey. How's it going? Sorry for the neglect the last week. But it was an important week for the BF & I. We both had our birthdays!

I made us Boozy Birthday Cake Shakes, and I loved them a whole lot. The BF wouldn't drink his, but he has an eating disorder where he is no fun and hates sweets.

For my present, he did get me new Hokas. Yay! My 2nd pair and I am just going to looove them.

I will put them through the Half Marathon motion this weekend. I feel that I am going to be really slow this weekend.

I have been putting miles in, but not very confident in my body right now. Burnout maybe? Boredom? It could be a part mental and a part physical issue. I have gained 4 pounds back from the 50K training that I lost. The building I am working in has been really hot, like 90some degrees all night- disgustingly hot, which has me cranky. (translation-I am looking for another job, like, seriously! and I was offered something a few weeks ago, it paid $4 more an hour, but it just wasn…

See Jane Run 5K & Half Marathon

The Boise See Jane Run 5K & Half Marathon is coming up soon. I did the half marathon last year as an Ambassador and it was a PR half marathon for me.

I had a lot of fun. Which is totally obvious if you watch the video above. I still use my swag bag and I still wear my race shirt. I proudly use my bag all over town. And the shirt is a super flattering cut that hides my tum-tum. It is one of my favorite race shirts! I believe in the See Jane Run mantras listed on my bag.

But this years race is soon! I am a Super Jane Ambassador this year and I would LOVE for you to run or walk the race with me!

I wholeheartedly believe YOU CAN do a half-marathon, or 5K if you have never done one before.

I mean, I only say that you can complete a half marathon because a half marathon was my 2nd race ever. And if you can spend the afternoon walking around the mall, I'm sure you can comple…
