Fitsok Product Review

Fitsok recently contacted me to give a review on their products. Of course I said yes, I would gladly accept! Fitsok provided the products below for my honest review. I have worn 1 pair of their socks on and off for a year or so. I think they were the CF2 Cush. They were a free pair with a shoe purchase from Shu's a while back. That pair was in rotation for running, and also for wearing during my shift at work.

I'm not truly picky when it comes to socks, but I do have preferences depending on what shoe I am wearing, and what my sock wearing mission is - trails, short runs, long runs, races, Hokas vs Altras, and wearing to work. I have been pretty blessed to not have a regular problem with blisters, major calluses, jacked up toenails, or foot fungus. My feet do get pretty sweaty - even more so now that it is summer!

My favorite features of all the Fitsok socks is that they have arch support and they kept my feet drier and cooler then some other socks I wear. All the ankle heig…

Race Day Is Here - See Jane Run Half!

I have not participated in any form of running in 2 weeks.

And tomorrow, Saturday is race day! I am doing the See Jane Run Boise half marathon as a race ambassador.

I was feeling a little burnt out/overwhelmed with running and job searching and fitting in all the blogging I want/need to do. Something had to give and there was no way I could fit everything in.

So I have been taking a break from blogging and running and social media. But, it's time to snap out of it. Tomorrow is race day! So, I am getting ready.

I got my packet with my bib and tote bag and race shirt.

My gear is all laid out.

Team Beef shirt, Hokas, FitSoks, wrist band for my post-race bubbly (most important part of the race!) and Accel Gel for race fuel and Pocket Fuel for breakky. I'm still deciding which Team Sparkle skirt to wear. Red or gunmetal?

My alarm clock is set for 6am. My Soleus is charging. Just need to get my all important coffee pot all ready.

I've had a 2 week, ahem, "taper." I&…

Two Approaches to Exercise - Pleasure or Punishment?

Ask any personal trainer anywhere across the Western World what the number-one key is to success and they will tell you it’s motivation. It’s really a simple case of those with long-term motivation reaching each and every one of their goals like clockwork, while those with little to no motivation are to a large extent doomed to failure before even getting started in the first place. However, motivation is something that doesn’t just grow on trees and doesn’t come easy to most either, but must instead be targeted and pursued in order to r…

Hiring a personal trainer isn’t like it used to be – quite frankly it’s a hell of a lot easier. All across the world there are thousands of private and company-based personal trainers offering all manner of services for people of all ages, with every last one of course claiming to be the best in the business.  Needless to say, not all are able to follow through on such claims to fame and it is therefore important to exercise a little selectiveness when hiring a personal trainer today.
