Half Rim2Rim Race Recap

I have done this Rim to Rim race a couple of times in the past. Last year I wanted to drop down to the half but I did the full. This year, I decided to do the half.

I didn't take ANY pics during the race, but I did take pics after. The pics shown are pics from previous excursions. If you would like to read my race recap from 2014, you can do so here.

I made a skirt the night before. I got a super deal on some sparkly clearance fabric and I made 2 skirts with it. A knee length regular skirt and my running sparkly skirt.

The race route - the full - starts at a golf course at the bottom of the Snake River Canyon, goes up the canyon, across it, down it, and over the river back to the golf course start. Its one of the more challenging races I have ever done. The full is just over 7 miles and the half, which is what I did this year, is 3.6 miles.

The half route is starting along the top of the canyon just past where you cross from the other side, down a 10% grade, and over the river to …

Derma-E Product Updates & Review

Have you heard of the brand Derma-E before? This post is sponsored by Derma-E and no other compensation has been given. I have seen some Derma-E ads here and there and they seem like a quality company, but I have never tried any of their products until now.

Derma-E started in California in 1984.They have high ethical standards for their skin care formulations. I have nothing but respect for companies who do that.

Derma-E has a full array of products for every skincare need.
And the updated packaging looks fresh and clean.

You can find Derma-E products at stores you probably frequent often. Like Target, Ulta, Walgreens, Sprouts and Whole Foods.

If you would like to find more about Derma-E, you can contact them at their website, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram.

What do you think of the updated packaging and the Derma-E brand?

MORE Virtual Runs Available! LEVELUP!

I have not shared with you as often as I should be about the newest LevelUp Virtual Runs. I am SO in love with these medals that they have. They are big and sparkly and really well made. They have really changed my opinion of the whole virtual run deal this year.

I got my newest metal, the Dog Days virtual run. I seriously love this medal!

The next Virtual Run is a Harry Potter themed run. I am not really into the whole Potter-verse as some people but I like the creativity of this medal. The little danglys are cute.

You can register and solemnly swear that you am up to no good here.
There is the Mighty Thor Run which is pretty exciting.

You can register for the Mighty Thor run here.

And for the girly girls, there is the Run Like A Princess run. I think this may be one of my favorite medals so far! Pink AND sparkly!

You can register to Run Like A Princess here.

Things I'm Loving / Not Loving

There are a few new things in my life that I'm loving and not loving.

Walden Farms.

Have you guys tried this stuff? I love and not love their products.

The Walden Farms BBQ and all of the salad dressings I love.

I just tried the coleslaw dressing and I really love it. It tastes pretty darn good.

The Walden Farms Alfredo, is a not love. I think it has a funny taste. But the Al Fresco chicken sausage is a win. I think the one below is a spinach parmesan.

I also didn't care for the WF marshmallow fluff or chocolate dip but the coffee creamers, veggie dips, jelly's, and pancake syrup are all really good.

Oinking out on chips is a love. But not a love because I have to cut down on this junk food crap. :-(

Going in to a bar and asking the bartender to make me whatever he wants. Something tasty and creative. Usually it works. Usually its something NOT on the menu.

Blindly picking something off the menu, although tasty wasn't what I was looking for here and is not a love. …
